The study presents case studies of two Maguindanaoan women about what it is like to be a woman and muslim in a transitional society like that of the Maguindanaoan. The maguindanaoan women of today find themselves in conditions of social inequities brought about by many factors, foremost among which is gender. A Maguindanaon woman is confronted with several constraints in performing both her productive and reproductive roles.
