The study reveals that in Cabili Village, Iligan City, garbage is not always associated with unfavorable effects. For them, garbage and solid waste mean life and shelter because it provides them work. They keep or sell rejected and unusuable items they find in the dumpsite. For the landless and homeless, garbage in the dumpsite offers a place, and subsequently a house that they can possibly call their own.
