A monograph based on an earlier work on the Islamic system of education (called madrasah), the author discusses some historical and contemporary developments of this institution in Mindanao from the time of the Makhdumins to the present. Also discussed are the problems of madrasah education relative to the ideal, and the prospect of integration with the prevalent educational system.
