This is a discussion of freedom, mutual respect, and sound understanding as advocated by the divine messages in both Islam and Christian religion. Muslims and Christians are traditionally attached to religion and their senses of values are anchored on religious bases. Islam teaches its followers to respect other religions for such respect will prompt others to reciprocate it, and as a result, there will be goodwill and understanding among various religious. This precept should be reaffirmed within the context of Philippine conditions.
