The study determines the perceptions of Philippine Ports Authority employees of the Port District Office of Northern Mindanao and Port Management of Cagayan de Oro City on the usefulness, effectiveness, importance and appropriateness of the Performance Appraisal System in measuring their performance. Problems encountered and perceived defects of the appraisal system are also presented.
