Identification of promising rubber clones for ecological adaptation

Annotation

Identifies four promising rubber clones that exhibit higher production, higher dry rubber content (DRC), early capability, and thicker bark and has lower brown bast incidence than the standard clone RRIM 600 under region 9 agro-climatic conditions. These clones are RRIM 703, PB 330, PB 235 and RRIM 712, with an average yield of 3.97. 3.59.3.13 and 3.11 tons/ha/yr. Further reports that these promising clones can also be planted in denuded forest of Mindanao.
