This report gives a brief description of the Holothuria fishery in White Island, Camiguin and nearby waters. There are two types of fisheries: the traditional method of skin-diving in shallow waters and the compressor-aided living diving in much deeper waters. Fourteen species of Holothuria that inhabit the water of White Island are collected for trepan. Abundance estimates indicate a declining availability of Holothuroids stock in the area. (Also in AF).
