This research project compares the effect of ipil-ipil/guinea grass combination and pure guinea grass pasture on the productive performance of cattle and their offspring in terms fresh and dry matter, and their reproductive performance. Result reveals favorable advantages of ipil-ipil/guinea grass pasture compared to guinea grass pasture alone as to production performance and of their offspring. Further study to determine the lifetime productivity of cattle grazed with this treatment with slight modification of reducing the planting distance of ipil-ipil trees, to increase its herbage production, is suggested.
