Germplasm collection, evaluation and maintenance of spices and essential oil-bearing crops

Annotation

Involves the collection in a gene bank eleven species of spices such as annatto, back pepper, chillies, cinnamon, garlic, ginger, langkawas, laurel, oregano, trumeric and vanilla were collected and put in gene bank. The oil-bearing crops collected were lemon grass, Citronella, ilang-ilang, Japanese mint, patchouli, pandan, peppermint, sampaguita, sweet basil and vetiver. These were properly labeled, propagated, planted and maintained in a gene bank.
