Generally, the philosophy, goals, and objectives of kindergarten education in the nine public elementary schools in the Division of Cotabato during the school year 1996-1997 are consistent with the provision of DECS Memo No. 107 s. 1989 and conform with those modern theories and practices of modern day kindergarten education. The curriculum focuses on the areas of development of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor, health habits, extracurricular activities, moral and spiritual values and art appreciation. Findings further show that instructional facilities, playground apparatus, health and activity facilities are inadequate.
