A verification study of three alternative cropping patterns tried during crop year 1985-86. It aims to determine their technical feasibility, economic viability and acceptability to the farmers under the agro-climatic condition of the area. These cropping patterns are: cassava based cropping pattern (Cas+ GC- Pn), upland rice-based alternative cropping pattern (UR-Cas + Pn) and UR+ GC+ Mg.
