Deals with the situation of the Yakan under the present troubles and the ways they are facing this challenges. It focuses on a group of Yakans from the eastern part of Basilan and on the small evacuation camp in Zamboanga. The place usually referred to as the "Yakan Village " where some of these people are now living. The Yakans recognize that some sort of development has to take place but they are not ready to give up all their old ways of life and they want to decide for themselves what to give up, what innovation to introduce.
