This paper focuses on the small group of Yakans from the Eastern part of Basilan and on the small evacuation camp in Calarian, Zamboanga City. It deals on the situation of the Yakan under the present peace and order condition and the manner by which they are facing the challenging time. The changes occurring among the small groups of Yakans brought about by recent conflicts which caused them to flee from their native island to the environs of Zamboanga City is also treated in this article.
