The study shows that wetbed-raised rice seedlings sprayed ten days after sowing with eight tbsp/k of Romex solution were healthier than those without Romex. It also improved soil condition described as less compact and appeared to be more porous, enabling the seedlings to produce extensive root system. The production test results show that grain yield was significantly increased when Romex at the rate of eight tbsp/k/ha. was sprayed alone and also in combination with 60-30-30 kg NPK/ha. with a fortypercent increase over the untreated yield.
