Colonization and the Moro-Indio conflict in Mindanao, Philippines

Annotation

The conflict that characterizes the Muslims and Christian Filipinos is described here relative to the colonial experience in Mindanao since the Spanish period (1565-1898) and American regime (1900-1935). Such historical relations between these two peoples obstructed independence and facilitated the conflict that broke out anew in the 1970s.
