Studies the viability of using locally available ceramic raw materials. Chemical plastic composites consist of: polyester resin, catalyst, fillers and coloring oxides. Three fillers are tested: silica, limestone and talc. The study reveals that ceramic plastic composite is successfully formulated using locally available ceramic raw materials. Talc and silica blend well with the polyester resins. The products formed using these materials achieve good qualities and are comparable with the imported items.
