The CRDP 2001-2004 serves as the blueprint for development of the region to complement the goals of the Arroyo Administration, namely: equitable development with sustained growth, poverty reduction and moral recovery. The Plan highlights the development concerns and major challenges confronting the region. The development directions outlined in the Plan are characterized by clearly defined strategies to effectively carry-out the programs and projects that will put the region a step ahead in meeting its long-term goal of becoming the Fishery, Agri-Forestry, Mineral and Eco-tourism (FAME) Center of the country.
