Citrus rind borer completes its developmental cycle over a period of 20.34 days. Male and female have a total lifespan of 3.87 and 7.80 days, respectively. Female moth produced an average of 83.87 eggs in a lifespan. A pupal parasitoid, identified as Brachymeria sp. (Chalcididae) constitutes 2.4 percent parasitization of pupa in the field. Light trap painted white is more effective than light trap painted yellow. Population of the citrus rind borer adults in the area is high as shown by the highest fruit infestation in spite of the presence of the traps.
