In this work, the Maguindanao people and their folk songs and the historical background of each song are presented. Songs are put into notations and the lyrics are translated into English. The conclusion reached is that Maguindanao folk songs serve a definitive purpose because of their peculiar and unique design, melody and lyrics. One of the recommendations is to incorporate the Maguindanao folk songs into the curricular offering of schools in the area.
