The study aims at developing and validating a vocabulary test in English for fourth year high school students. Item analysis is employed to establish the validity of the test in terms of content, difficulty and discrimination levels of each item as well as the effectiveness of the distracters. The reliability of the test is determined using the K-R 21 formula and is further enhanced by solving its standard error of measurement.
