The importance of this study is to evaluate the quality of education in the city. It traces the growth and development of private education from 1945-1976, identifies the private schools funded by the city government, and the problems met in areas of faculty recruitment and retention, teaching-learning situations, disciplinary behavioral problems, and community relations.
