A study of the Sama/Badjao pronoun system

Annotation

An attempt to investigate the Sama/Badjao pronoun system to discover if there may be some syntactical structures in the Sama/Bafjao dialects as their first language, which they tend to transfer over to the English syntax. It was found out that the predictable learning problems of the Sama/Badjao speaking learner of English are classified according to the most difficult category down to the easy category. Of the top most importance and range of difficulty is the absent category in the Sama/Badjao of the gender of the possessive pronouns his or her. Next is the absence of third person category, neuter gender of the English as well as the split category of the Sama/Badjao. Lastly, the third category found in the Sama/Badjao terms which have one to one correspondence or near matching correspondence in English.
