A total of 220 respondents composed of 157 fishpond operators, forty-six fry gatherers, sixteen concessionaires/dealers and one seaweeds farmer are personally interviewed as to the economic and social aspects of the industry. Description of Mindanao geographical location, leading industries and infrastructure supports are presented, cultural and management practices is assessed, capital investments, cost and returns in fish farming, fry gathering and fry concessions are discussed, and fry gathering pattern practices and marketing are analyzed.
