A formulation of a five year academic development plan is undertaken for the High School Department of La Salle Academy, from school year 1985-86 to school year 1989-90. This is based on thorough and comprehensive analysis of the academic areas for the past five years. Factors considered are: 1) strengths and weaknesses of La Salle Academy in the academic areas of faculty, instruction, academic and curriculum, and 2) plans that should be developed to reinforce its strengths and solution to its weaknesses in the identified academic areas. The research uses the descriptive method and also made use of questionnaires, interviews, school data, minutes of parent-faculty meetings and results of group discussions to gather data.
