Verbal affixes of three native languages from the towns of Surigao del Sur are analyzed to establish similarities and differences in their verbal inflection using Cebuano as language of elicitation. Study reveals that the three languages exhibit a syntactic phenomenon, using a common article as a basic element in their utterance to mark the forces of the sentence.
