Abstract:
The Insurance Commission (IC) has ordered all preneed companies to include in their corporate name the word "Plan" or "Plans" to distinguish and identify themselves quickly as preneed companies.
Insurance Commisioner Emmanuel F. Dooc issued Circular Letter 2015-41 imposing the requirement on all preneed companies to "avoid any confusion on the part of the public" as to the nature of their business.
