Abstract:

In Mindanao, the Mahintana Foundation, a non-government organization established in 1972 initially to carry out Dole Philippines Inc.’s social responsibility in South Cotabato, was identified as a possible local replicating agency to provide assi
stance to the provinces of Sarangani and South Cotabato in Region XII in the implementation of its health promotion and communication activities. Specifically, Mahintana will be tasked to organize and mobilize groups in target municipalities of the
two provinces to support the IPC activities at the facility level conducted by the service providers and those at the household level implemented by the BHWs.
