Abstract:
To help Department of Health Region IX Director, Nimfa Torrizo, engage critical personnel in pursuing her health priorities, HLGP organized a guiding coalition workshop on October 2-3 in Zamboanga City. Director Torrizo and 24 of her program managers and coordinators, who will serve as her allies in pushing health reforms at the regional office attended the workshop. Th
e workshop generated technical and adaptive leadership strategies in improving blood supply at the provincial hospitals, fast tracking the Health Facility Enhancement Program (HFEP) in the region, establishing a regional health information system with focus on pregnancy tracking, and improving efficiency in the administrative and financial processes to lessen the delays in implementing programs and projects.
