Abstract:

This year’s GAW celebration was held in Cagayan de Oro City in Northern Mindanao to focus on the region which has
the lowest UIE’s among pregnant women (33 mcg/L) and lactating mothers (55mcg/L) throughout the Philippines. Thus, Northern Mindanao (comprising Misamis Oriental, Misamis Occidental, Bukidnon, Camiguin) and the neighboring CARAGA
and Zamboanga Peninsula are the regions to watch for IDD.
