Abstract:

The prevalence survey of schistosomiasis in Maguindanao was undertaken to complete the survey of schistosomiasis in Mindanao, the first phase of the “National Prevalence Survey of Schistosomiasis in the Philippines” which was concluded without
the participation of the province in 2005. This was followed by the second phase in the Visayas completed in 2006. The third phase in the island of Luzon was concluded in the latter part of 2007.
