Abstract:

Fishing is the major occupation of the people of Cawayan. The municipality’s fishing grounds include Cawayan Bay and a great part of Asid Gulf and the Visayan Sea. There are ice and storage facilities in the municipality for fresh fish catch. Some of the
fish catch are also dried, salted, packed, and exported to Cebu, Panay Island, Bicol, Manila, and some areas in Mindanao.
