Abstract:
QIPs are initial projects to be implemented while the SEDP is being formulated. The project implementation structure and management is defined early to serve as preparatory activity for an effective SEDP implementation. The preparation and implementation of QIPs, will enhanced the institutional capacity by offering experience in every phase of a project cycle, from the feasibility study to construction work. Additional Quick Impact Projects (QIPs), undertaken in the first phase of the SERD-CAAM, will serve as a model for SEDP planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. It can also provide lessons learned from past projects, highlight potential challenges and implementation issues and establish mitigation measures early in the implementation process.
