Abstract:
Capability building and assistance to agencies and LGUs. Two (2) regional training seminars for Local Council for the Protection Children (LCPC) officials and members were conducted in Mindanao. One hundred and thirty (130) local social welfare and PNP women and children desk officers from the provinces of Sarangani, North Cotabato, South Cotabato and Sultan Kudarat participated in the 3-day Region XII seminar held in Lake Sebu, North Cotabato on 17-20 November 2010. JWC’s commitment to provide funds and technical assistance for the establishment of Bahay Pag-asa to the Provincial Government of Misamis Oriental was fulfilled on 06 December 2010. A check amounting to P2.5 Million was handed by the Officer- in-Charge of the JJWC to the officials of the province led by Governor Oscar S. Moreno and Vice- Governor Noris C. Babiera. A Bahay Pag- asa for disadvantaged children and CICL shall be constructed on a 2,000 square-meter lot donated by the Municipality of Claveria, Cagayan.
