Abstract:
More than ever, the roles and functions of the health department are being challenged as the new millenium draws near- we
are witnessing new diseases,reemerging infections, new trends in public health. In dealing with this scenario, the new administration tak~son the challenges in search for new approaches, strategies and innovations to make itself relevant and more responsive to the health needs of the masses.
