Abstract / Excerpt:

This descriptive study investigates following a quantitative approach the current state of the instructor of the Sunday High School program among six service providers in Davao City. Data were gathered from focus group discussions on five aspects of the instruction function: Delivery of instruction; Number of Teaching Hours; Struggles in the Sunday High School Set-Up; Strategies Employed; and Management of Student Behavior. Findings discuss the difficulties teachers have in using the DECS-prescribed module for the purposes of delivering the expected learning outcomes. Recommendations are tentatively proposed to address these difficulties.
