Statement of the Problem: Specifically this study attempts to answer the following questions: 1) What are the perceptions of foreign internet chatters regarding the peace and order situation in Mindanao? a. Media portrayal of Mindanao b. Tourism and the region 2) What is the primary source of world news of the respondents? a. Television b. Newspapers c. Radio d. Internet

METHODOLOGY: The design of the study is descriptive. A survey method is employed on foreign Internet Chatters. The gathered data are qualitatively analyzed. The research created an exclusive channel in each of the chat rooms namely: Yahoo Messegner, Tagged, and Meebo.
